About the Recipe

If you have ever been to America, you have probably tasted the Ranch dressing that is the go-to salad dressing of all homes and restaurants. It is available in stores here, but nothing beats a homemade Ranch dressing for flavour and freshness. It makes eating carrot batons, raw broccoli, and cauliflower all the more pleasurable and goes with sweet potato fries perfectly, as well as all manner of salads.

​Once you make this extremely easy dressing, you will find it hard to eat a salad without it!

Ingredients

  • 115g mayonnaise

  • 125g sour cream

  • 60ml buttermilk

  • 60ml regular milk

  • 3/4 - 1 teaspoon dried dill weed

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried chives

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

  • 3 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

Preparation

  • In a small bowl or jar, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, and milk until smooth.

  • Add the dill, chives, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper and whisk well.

  • Add the lemon and whisk again.

  • Pour into a jar and chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
