Meade Farm Group, an award-winning Fresh Produce Company who operate from their state-of-the-art family farm based in Lobinstown, Navan, Co. Meath, C15 HY42.
Due to continued expansion, Meade Farm Group have an exciting new opportunity for a Tillage Farm Manager. The role of the Tillage Farm Manager is to manage the day-to-day operations of the farm, crops and staff. The successful candidate will focus on the maximisation of agronomy and crop outputs.
Job Role & Responsibilities
Manage the growing of all cereal and root crops e.g. potatoes, carrots, onions, organics etc.
Manage and plan all planting, fertilising, weed control and harvesting across all crops to ensure maximisation of crop output.
Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective farm operations.
Plan and oversee planting schedules and crop rotation.
Maintain accurate records of farming activities and inventory to ensure the farm is audit ready at all times.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm machinery, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure that facilities meet safety and regulatory standards.
Research and secure land for future expansion.
Responsible for training and mentoring the farm team.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
3-4 years’ experience in a managerial role.
Knowledge of organic growing is a distinct advantage.
Full driver’s licence.
